This is the last call for a bar in Oroville, after eight years in the bar business, Dave and Tiffany Drake are forced to close down the Montgomery Street Pub. The couple moved from Sacramento to Oroville back in 2005 to open their pub, but due to what they call "internal conflicts", their tab has grown too big to cover so now they're closing out.
This family found out last Thursday this Saturday July 20, would be their last night for business and so far, the support has been overwhelming. In the wake of closing, many patrons have been coming in and leaving written messages on their back wall to show their appreciation for this local watering hole.
They're still are not going to give up on keeping the drinks flowing. They plan on raising enough money to hopefully reopen the bar. The pub will be open for the last time until 2 a.m. Sunday morning on July 21st.
