Chico State distance runner Brittni Frace died in a car crash on Tuesday. The Wildcats cross country and track runner was on her way back to Chico State from winter break. She and her sister were driving from San Luis Obispo County when they were struck by a semi truck on highway 198. Brittni, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her sister Brynn, who was driving, was taken to a hospital with major injuries and passed away on Thursday.
Brittni had redshirted on both the cross country and track teams last school year, while competing in cross country as a redshirt freshman this last fall.
