The first thing Lake Placid Elementary School teachers did was call animal services to come check out what sounded like kittens.

They were right, so animal services got the school facilities workers to remove a grate.

Animal services officer Kiley Fort lowered herself into the drain pipe and saw two kittens and two frogs.

Officer Fort patiently coaxed the kittens to come to her and after some time, she was able to rescue them from the drain.

Teachers at Lake Placid Elementary immediately adopted the two male kittens and the frogs simply hopped off into nature.
