UPDATE: 12:43 P.M.
According to Enloe Medical Center they received five patients from the Ranch Tehama shooting.
Three were treated and released.
SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. issued the following statement today regarding the shooting in Tehama County:
"Anne and I are saddened to hear about today’s violence in Tehama County, which shockingly involved schoolchildren. We offer our condolences to the families who lost loved ones and unite with all Californians in grief."
Breaking news out of Tehama County, officials now saying at least five dead.
Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston says one child was shot at a school Tuesday and another was shot while riding in a pickup truck with a woman who was also wounded.
Johnston says the shooter was "randomly picking targets." He says there were seven shooting scenes and that there may be more victims.
Two law enforcement officers shot at the suspect.
Officers recovered one assault rifle and two handguns.
