Passages is a non profit organization that helps adults and family caregivers with important services to empower them to remain confident in their ability to sustain and enjoy independent lives. Officials there warn people to be on the alert for insurance agents using aggressive tactics to sell health insurance.
While workshops have been taking place in a number of North State communities since mid October, there are just two remaining and they both take place in Chico.
One is on Thursday, November 9th from 10 a.m. - Noon at the Lakeside Pavilion. There will also be a workshop on Tuesday, November 14th from 9 a.m. - Noon at the Enloe Conference Center.

Passages is also offering "The Commandments of Caregiving" on Tuesday, November 14th from 9:30 a.m. - Noon at the Butte Creek Country Club.
Nationally reknown speakers Karen Stobbe and Mondy Carter will head-up an interactive session covering body mechanics, home safety tips, taking care of you, and that four-letter word: guilt.
The couple have been caregivers to Karen's parents for more than 20 years. They have been featured on TEDMED, in Real Simple Magazine and on National Public Radio's "This American Life". Karen was the co-developer of the CMS Hand in Hand Training Toolkit, which was sent to every nursing home in the USA.
