Pure Heart Academy, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club and Mixed Martial Arts facility located on Nord Avenue in Chico, is offering people the chance to train with one of the most up and coming jiu jitsu fighters in the world.

On Saturday, July 13th 20 year-old Redding native Tanner Rice, the youngest American black belt under Ruben "Cobrinha" Charles will be teaching a one day seminar from 11am to 2pm.

According to Andrew Osterlund, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Trainer at Pure Heart Academy, Rice heads a new generation of American black belts that started jiu-jitsu at a young age and that can possibly rival the Brazilians at the highest level.
