A youth softball team remembers one of the players' fallen mothers today.

The Chico Flare, a 14-and-under traveling squad, hosted the first annual Stacy Harmon Invitational at Hooker Oak Park in Chico.

4 teams participated part in the tournament, the Flare, Redding Rebels, Siskyous Heat, and Lassen Outlaws.

Stacy Harmon passed away in February at the age of 49 from a sudden heart attack.

One of her daughters, Rhonna, currently pitches for the Flare and according to Flare coach Rod Rollins, Stacy was a "team mom" who loved the game.
