Northern Section Division One Track & Field Championships

Many of the best track and field athletes in the north state competed at Harrison Stadium in Oroville today for the Division 1 Section Championship.

In the girls long jump, Pleasant Valley's Brooke Whitburn outleaped the competition as she always does... winning with a jump of 18 feet, 10 and a half inches.

In the boys discuss, West Valley's Wyatt Woolery won the event with a throw of 144 feet, 4 inches.

In the boys 4-by-100 meter relay, it's Chico high, led by anchor Eli Pennick besting the competition with a time of 43.59 seconds.

Meanwhile in the girls 4-by-100 meter relay, it's Red Bluff running faster than anyone else on the track with Adriene Hinkston finishing it off in a time of 49.46 seconds...

Overall team winners included West Valley for the girls and Chico high for the boys.
