Several media outlets are reporting that Chico's own and former Vanderbilt quarterback Jordan Rodgers has agreed to a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rodgers, who signed with the squad as an undrafted free agent, had this to say about the move on his Twitter account, "So proud to be a Jacksonville Jaguar. Opportunity is all I can ask for. Excited to get back on the field." Like his older brother and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Jordan played for Pleasant Valley high school and Butte College. Among the other undrafted rookies Jacksonville signed is wide receiver Cole McKenzie, a former Southern Oregon and Red Bluff high school product.
