Former San Francisco Giant and current Arizona Diamondbacks third base coach Matt Williams signed autographs for fans as part of the grand opening for Dick's Sporting Goods in Redding.

Williams spent a couple hours inside the busy store, mingling with customers, posing for photos, and jotting down his John Hancock for anyone interested.

Williams spent 17 years in the bigs, suiting up for the Giants, Indians and the Diamondbacks.

He was a five-time All-Star and a World Series champion with Arizona in 2001. Willaims earned four Gold Gloves at the hot corner as well.

People might remember, his best season was with the Giants in 1994, when he led the National League with 43 home-runs.
