Chico High Football Forfeits Win Over Red Bluff

The Chico High Football team was forced to forfeit Friday nights 61-20 win over Red Bluff, because they used an ineligible player. What it means is that instead of picking up their first win in the EAL and improving to 2-4 on the season, the Panthers are now 1-5... and instead of dropping to .500 at 3-3, Red Bluff gets a boost up to 4-2. The decision to okay the student athlete to play in Friday night's game was made by Chico High Athletic Director Chip Carton who says he takes full responsibility for the mistake.
