Update: Swedes Fire 1,850 Acres, 20% Contained

The latest CalFire update as of 7:00 p.m.

1,850 acres, 20% contained, estimated containment is Tuesday morning.

Current Situation: Additional fire crews and equipment were added to the fire fight throughout the day. Limited access with steep terrain, narrow roads and the evacuation of threatened structures slowed the progress of increasing the overall containment. Over 400 structures were threatened by the changing path of the fire.

Evacuation Warnings - All residents that are not covered by the Order above within the boundary of Miners Ranch Road from Oro Bangor Highway to Oroville Quincy Highway (Hwy 162), Oroville Quincy Highway to Forbestown Road, Hurleton Swedes Flat Road to Swedes Flat Road.
An Evacuation Warning alerts people in an affected area of potential threat to life and property.

Evacuation Center: Church of the Nazarene, 2238 Monte Vista Avenue, Oroville

Animal Evacuations: Call North Valley Animal Disaster Group at 895-0000 for assistance with animal evacuations.
