The Oroville Police Department was asked to assist U.S. Marshals in arresting 42-year-old Jaime Dominguez yesterday afternoon.

Lt. Al Beyers of the Oroville Police Department confirmed he and other officers with OPD were called to assist the Marshals in arresting Dominguez after they followed him to Los Compadres restaurant on 771 Oro Dam Blvd in Oroville. OPD officers entered the restaurant and placed Dominguez under arrest at approximately 2 p.m. without incident. Dominguez was handed over to U.S. Marshals outside the restaurant and taken into their custody.

Video of the arrest was provided by Cookie J Arnett of the Gold City Gazette

Beyers stated the Marshals wanted Dominguez because we was considered an “absconding fugitive” and speculated he may have been arrested for drug trafficking charges.

Action News Now reached out to U.S. Marshal Deputy Frank Newsome to find out what exactly Dominguez was wanted for, but he has yet to return our inquiry.
