The California Highway Patrol is investigating a double fatal accident.  It happened in Cottonwood on Highway 36 near Bowmen road just before 7 p.m. Monday.  According to the CHP website pigs were loose on the roadway after apparently escaping a nearby enclosure.  The car ran into the pigs then slammed into a tree.  Two people were in the car and both were killed.  No other cars were involved.  Investigators are not releasing any information about the two people killed.
