On October 1 the Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force and the CHP executed a warrant on multiple properties in Hayfork. After arresting three subjects, officers found a cache of high-powered weapons, hundreds of marijuana plants, nearly 500 pounds of processed marijuana and approximately $17,000 U.S. Dollars.
Among the weapons found in the raid were a bolt-action .50 caliber scoped rifle with hundreds of .50 caliber rounds and a shotgun with high capacity magazines. Officers also found 561 marijuana plants and 478 pounds of processed marijuana.
The three subjects arrested during the raid were Nicholas Alfonso Howard Apicello, 31, of Hayfork, Anita Gloria Apicello, 58, of Brookings, Ore., and Troy Halun Brennan, 30, also of Brookings. The three have been arrested and booked into the Trinity County Jail on conspiracy and possession and cultivation of marijuana and hashish for sale charges. Brennan faces an additional charge for possession of a .50 BMG rifle.
