An Oroville kitten is getting the royal treatment after losing a leg in an accident last month.
Princess Beatrice is recovering at POUNCE Cat Rescue in Oroville.
The group rescued the young female cat and her two litter mates after they fell from the car as it headed down Olive Highway.
The feral kittens had been hiding under the car for shade and the driver didn't realize it until they fell out.
Volunteers from POUNCE found all three kittens along the side of the road, but Princess Beatrice had a broken leg that had to be amputated.
"She is doing great. She is a little shy, but she will be ready for a home, pretty much anytime," POUNCE Cat Rescue founder Julie Olson said.
You can call POUNCE at (530) 589-2843 or by mail at P.O. Box 641, Oroville, CA 95965
