Around 60% of Cascade Theatre's tickets are now sold online.
Unfortunately, with more convenient technology means new competition from third-party ticket outlets.
"We've had people call the box office, concerned that they couldn't buy tickets to a show because they thought it was sold out, and so I was concerned because I know we still had a lot of inventory for that show," general manager Jeff Darling said.
Something to watch out for when purchasing tickets online are prices that seem to be suspiciously inflated.
"Most of our shows range from the $20 to $80 price range depending on popularity, so if it's more than that, if it's something like $500, you're definitely not on the Cascade Theatre site," Darling said.
As far as theater management can tell, what these websites are doing are within legal limits.
The theater is in the process of moving forward with a new ticket provider in hopes of curbing this issue.
They ask that anyone who has questions about the price and availability of tickets call their box office at (530) 243-8877.
