A man is behind bars for allegedly breaking into a Red Bluff Dollar Tree store. Officers were not able to get into the business to start investigating initially, but fortunately they were able to find evidence outside the store that led them to a suspect. It happened just before 5:30 a.m. Monday morning at the Dollar Tree on South Main Street. Police say they had to wait until after 7 a.m. for an employee to let them into the store. That employee reported that the roof had been damaged. Some food items had also been removed and were found outside the business. The evidence found at the scene led police to Derreck Lancaster of Red Bluff. He was later located and arrested for burglarizing the business.
