Thanksgiving Day shooting suspect arrested in Mt. Shasta

Jonathon Leonard Scott, the man wanted by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office for shooting a man in the face in Feather Falls Thanksgiving Day, was arrested yesterday in Siskiyou County.

The 29-year-old was arrested by Siskiyou County Sheriff’s after a short pursuit on foot, according to the Butte County Sheriff’s press release. He is expected to be returned to their custody soon.

On November 28, 2013, Butte County Sheriff Deputies responded to Lumpkin Road near Forbestown road where they found the gunshot victim who was being taken to the hospital by a relative.  After he was transported to the hospital deputies went to the residence on Long Point Road where the shooting occurred. Deputies found a large illegal marijuana garden on the property in their search for Scott.

We are awaiting more information from the sheriff’s office on the condition of the victim.
