Here's a story of inspiration involving a young North State girl ...
When her mom asked Madison Douglas what she wanted for her tenth birthday, she said she wanted to help "feed the homeless."
So, they made arrangements for Madison and her friends to help serve a meal this week at Chico's Jesus Center.
Madison also took it upon herself to hold a "sock drive" for the homeless at Cedarwood school in Magalia, and in front of local businesses.
She collected and distributed more than 150 pairs of them.
Madison also delivered flip flops and baby blankets and is now planning to collect hygiene products to donate this summer.
From all of us at Action News, a big Thank You to Madison Douglas for making a difference in our community.###
