LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A winter storm that's already hit parts of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas will be less dramatic than forecasters had feared as it heads east.

Temperatures are creeping above freezing, but severe weather could ramp back up today, threatening the plans of Thanksgiving holiday travelers.

The National Weather Service says North Carolina to Tennessee into central and eastern Pennsylvania should get freezing rain today. And snow is expected west of the Appalachians.
