Caltrans announced Friday morning SR 32 near the Elam Campground in Tehama County is now open.
Caltrans advised motorists may encounter intermittent traffic control the week of October 28 as crews conduct minimal clean up at the site. Work on the Deer Creek Realignment Project began in July 2013. The $2.9 million project included improving horizontal curves, building 12-foot lanes, 4-foot shoulders and the installation of guard railings along the road.
Caltrans also reminds travelers to drive carefully when they see Caltrans vehicles flashing warning lights along the side of the highways and to slow down in the “cone zone.”
