Redding Man Arrested After High Speed Chase

A Redding man is in custody following a high speed chase in Anderson. It all started just before 11 Tuesday night when officers tried to pull over a red Chevrolet Camero for speeding on North Street in Anderson. The driver, 37-year-old Silas Madden, failed to pull over and led authorities on a chase reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour. It ended after Madden lost control and crashed the car on Skyway Street near Airport Road in Redding. Officers were forced to use a taser in order to take Madden into custody. An adult passenger, who's name has not been released, was taken to the hospital . along with Madden following the crash.
No word on the extent of their injuries.
