Person Hit and Killed By Train in Redding

     Redding Police got the call just after midnight from the Union Pacific Railroad dispatch saying that one of their northbound freight trains had possibly hit a person on the tracks. When officers arrived on scene they did find a body on the trestle north of Riverside Drive. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. Police are still looking into why the person was on the tracks.
