Opening statements will begin Thursday in the high-profile murder trial of Mark Duenas.
The Cottonwood man is accused of stabbing his wife, Karen Duenas, to death in their home.
A seven-woman, five-man jury was seated and sworn in late Wednesday.
The trial is expected to last six to eight weeks.
Dozens of people could be called to the witness stand including family and friends of the Duenas family.
Duenas remains in custody at the Shasta County Jail with bail set at $1 million.
He faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
