Officers responded to a shooting in Shasta County Tuesday morning that sent one man to the hospital where he is in critical condition.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Golden Trail Road off of Bear Mountain Road north of Redding.
according to the CHP, the victim is a 32-year-old man.
His identity is unknown at this time.
The man was reportedly shot once in the chest, once in the arm, and once in an unknown location.
Officers say the victim is undergoing surgery.
