Target now says somewhere in the area of one third of America's entire population has been affected by their security breach.
According to the nation's second-largest discount chain hackers stole personal information from as many as 70,000,000 customers.
Last month, Target officials said the breach affected about 40,000,000 credit and debit cards.
Golden Valley Bank CEO Mark Francis said consumers are not responsible for fraud, and neither are the retailers.
Their bank has to cover the costs of lost funds.
Francis recommends signing up for alerts with your bank to monitor even more closely.
