California already has some of the strictest gun laws in the United States.
But after the Washington Navy Yard shooting spree, many North State gun owners fear those firearm regulations may get even tighter.
California Governor Jerry Brown is currently dealing with more than a dozen gun control bills. Some of these bills would outlaw most assault rifles, restrict ammunition sales and ban magazines which carry more than 10 rounds.
At the Clay Pits Shooting Range in Oroville, some local gun owners voiced their frustrations while others said some of these regulations could be helpful.
And while most people had varying opinions on gun regulations, they all agreed that when it comes to gun violence, people are the problem.
“If you want we can watch this gun and see if it jumps up and kills anybody,” said Oroville gun owner Adam Norton. “Unless the people are behind it using it, it’s not going to do a dang thing.”
