Dutch Bros. Coffee in Redding is feeding 500 Shasta County families this Thanksgiving.

Locally, the company spent $18,000 on turkeys, bread, and canned food for families in need.

$13,000 was donated by the the community and vendors that they work with.

Dutch Bros. Coffee owner Chris Resner said they started with 50 families just a few years ago.

"It was a lot of work this week and the week before kinda leading up to this, and you start getting a little doubt, like 'Man what did we bite off?' but being here today and seeing the families come and just seeing the smiles on kids' faces, it's cool," said Resner.

Resner tells us that with the 500 bags they passed out this year, they will be feeding a total of 2,088 people.
