According to Chico fire investigators, neighbors spotted smoke coming from a home in east Chico.  When crews arrived, they cut a hole in the roof and flames came shooting out.  They knocked the fire down quickly.  No one was home at the time, expect two dogs and a cat.  The dogs were not injured, and the cat is missing.  Investigators are working to determine a cause of the blaze.  There is no estimate yet on damage.
