The case against a Paradise man, charged in the hit and run crash that killed a 73-year-old pedestrian on Valentine’s night, will not go to trial. Timothy McCollum, 57, pleaded no contest Wednesday to felony hit and run.
On the night of February 14th, Myron Bolstead was struck and killed while crossing Clark Road after participating in choir practice at the Paradise Alliance Church. McCollum was arrested eight days later after police were tipped off about his damaged car.
Despite strong objection from prosecutors the judge released McCollum until his sentencing on May 22nd. He was ordered not to drive. McCollum faces up to four years in prison.
