Some South Chico residents are shaken after parts of a tree came crashing down onto some power lines and then onto their house early Monday morning.

It happened shortly before 4:30 at the corner of East 19th and Locust Streets.

Police say two large branches of what's believed to be a walnut tree fell onto the front entry way and roof of the home, damaging that part of the house.

That home is also without power.

No other homes were hit.

There's no word yet on exactly what caused the tree to fall.

Crews were called out to clear the parts of the tree that fell.

PG&E was also called out to the scene to deal with the power lines down.
