(UPDATE) 5:37 p.m. - The Yuba City Senior Center in Yuba City will also be hosting an evening cooling center from July 1 through July 5 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. During daytime hours, Yuba City officials are suggesting that residents utilize public buildings and community gathering locations, like the Yuba City Mall, the Sutter County Library or the Yuba City Senior Center to name a few, to take advantage to the cooler interior temperature.

With the current forecasts calling for triple digit heat all this week in the North State, cooling centers have opened in Tehama and Shasta Counties. The cooling centers in both counties opened today and will remain open through Thursday, July 4.

Here are the current locations and information regarding cooling centers in Shasta County
