Chico State will start accepting applications for the spring semester
August 1st ... but not just anyone can apply.
That's because applications will be closed to first-time freshmen.
University Officials say it's basically to manage enrollment, to make sure the school doesn't accept more students than it can properly serve.
The following graduate programs will not be open for spring 2014: Anthropology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Nursing, Psychology, social Work and recreation. Postbaccalaureate students seeking a second bachelor's in nursing will be able to apply.
Right now 900 new students are expected in the spring, compared to 4800 in the fall.
Admissions Officials are projecting total fall enrollment to be 16,600 students.
The deadline for spring undergraduate applications is August 31st, with a September 15th deadline for graduate students, and a September 30th deadline for international undergraduates.
