Chico Police search for suspect in Subway armed robbery

Chico Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a sandwich shop Thursday morning.

It happened around 8:41 a.m. at the Subway located on the 1000 block of W. Sacramento Avenue.

Police say the man brandished the gun at the employee who was the only one inside the store and demanded cash from the register.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

No one was injured during the time of the incident, police conducted a search around the area but were unable to locate the man.

This robbery comes just two days of another reported robbery at Anthony’s Liquor Store on Esplanade located on W. 11th Avenue.

Nobody was hurt and no weapon was involved in the New Year’s Eve robbery, police have not made any arrest in this case.
