Butte Humane Society Reaches Milestone

Ten thousand and counting...that's how many spay and neuters have been performed at the Butte Humane Society in Chico.

The new clinic opened three years ago and currently averages 23 of the procedures a day. 

According to Dina Soza, the clinic manager, spaying or neutering drastically reduces the chances your pet can contract cancer, in addition to controlling the stray population.
