Butte District Attorney's Office Finds Deputy Justified in Shooting, Killing of Suspect

The Butte County District Attorney'd Office has issued its report on the officer involved shooting earlier this month at Gold County Casino near Oroville.

After reviewing the surveillance tape and conducting further investigations, the District Attorney’s Office has determined no criminal liability will be charged against Butte County Sheriff Deputy Jason Piazza in the July 2, 2013 shooting of Sengaroune Silaphandeth at the Gold County Casino.
