The former firefighter who set a series of arson fires in Magalia was sentenced Wednesday afternoon to 23 years in prison.
Jairo Perkins-Grubbs pleaded guilty in April to torching the DeSabla Market and the Lovelock Inn, and to starting several other fires during a four month period in 2011.
In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss 17 other felony counts ... which could have brought up to 76 years in prison.
Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey said he's pleased Perkins-Grubbs received the "upper term" for the charges he pled to ... and that he'll be well-away from the North State during fire season.
