The Secret Witness of Shasta County is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the assault and sexual assault suspect who targeted three women on the Redding trail Monday.

In three separate incidences, a white male juvenile between the ages of 13 and 17 reportedly attacked three different women roughly one mile west of Court Street. The suspect has further been described as 5’6”, 140 pounds with short brown hair and green eyes. One of the victims stated the suspect was wearing a plaid shirt with a grey hoodie and blue jeans.

At approximately 12:45 p.m. Monday, a woman was running along the trail when the suspect grabbed her buttocks and made derogatory comments before riding off on a silver BMX-style bike. About an hour after that incident, the suspect reportedly grabbed a second woman from the front and fled on a similar bike. Around 4:45 p.m. that same afternoon another woman was walking along the trail in the same area when she was struck in the head with an object and lost consciousness. When the woman came to the suspect was grabbing her ankles and dragging her into the brush. The woman began yelling and was able to escape after suffering a laceration to her right eyelid

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is urged to contact the Redding Police Department at (530) 225-4214.
